Boid Aquarium — Ubisoft NEXT 2026 (3rd Place)

Ubisoft Toronto NEXT 2026 Submission for the theme 'Simulate a large number of entities', with post-submission performance improvements because I was bored, and a hacked-together web port (via Emscripten <3).

Simulates ~100k+ CPU-driven 3D boids on my M1 MacBook Pro, at 60FPS.

Boid Aquarium uses an early version of iris, a framework I'm building based on data-oriented principles, primarily with regard to data ownership, memory allocation, and type safety.
